The Sales Manager for Mining, CVO (Commercial Vehicle Operations), and Industrial sectors at BPSA Lubes will drive sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and leading market penetration initiatives within these segments. This role demands a proactive leader capable of navigating sophisticated market dynamics and delivering sustained commercial success.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategies and business plans to achieve sales targets and maximize market share within the Mining, CVO, and Industrial sectors.
- Conduct in-depth customer and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities, threats, and competitive advantages, advising strategic decision-making.
- Implement effective Customer Segmentation strategies to tailor sales approaches and product offerings, optimizing customer value and retention.
- Develop strong Internal alignment across various departments (e.g., marketing, technical, supply chain) to ensure flawless customer service and solution delivery.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by Navigating through ambiguity and complex market changes, providing clear direction to the sales team and stakeholders.
- Actively engage in Listening to customer needs and market feedback to identify new product development opportunities and service enhancements.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting the Mining, CVO, and Industrial sectors.
- Develop and implement effective Marketing strategy and program initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team to support sales objectives.
- Lead complex sales negotiations, adept at Negotiating value and securing profitable contracts with key clients.
- Prepare thoroughly for all negotiations through comprehensive Negotiation planning and preparation, ensuring efficient outcomes.
- Run and cultivate strong Partner relationship management with distributors, agents, and other third-party stakeholders to expand market reach.
- Drive the Proposition development process, ensuring BPSA Lubes' offerings are compelling, differentiated, and meet specific customer requirements.
- Implement robust Prospecting and pipeline management techniques to identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities.
- Generate accurate Sales forecasting/demand planning to support operational efficiency and ensure product availability.
- Serve as a subject matter authority on the Sector specific needs and challenges within Mining, CVO, and Industrial, providing valuable insights to both internal teams and customers.
Job Qualifications
- Confirmed experience in sales management within the Mining, Commercial Vehicle Operations, or Industrial sectors, preferably within the lubricants industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful account strategies and business plans.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough customer, competitor, and market analysis.
- Experience with customer segmentation and tailoring sales approaches.
- Outstanding leadership skills with a track record of leading and inspiring team performance.
- Excellent communication with an emphasis on listening.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing marketing strategies and programs.
- Expert-level negotiation skills, including selling and negotiation planning.
- Ability to drive proposition development and clearly articulate value propositions.
- Proficient in prospecting, pipeline management, and CRM systems.
- Strong understanding of sales forecasting and demand planning principles.
- In-depth knowledge of the specific sector dynamics within Mining, CVO, and Industrial.
