Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
This role will work within the Avio Aero International Trade Compliance (ITC) Organization, in close cooperation with Legal and Business functions to assure that the program operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the International Trade Compliance field in order to fulfill the Program milestones and deliveries.
The Program Export Control Specialist main responsibilities are:
- to understand the Program Export Control framework, considering the national export control regulations and requirements of all the partner nations involved;
- to attend, both in person and remotely, the export control working group sessions with the program partners and coordinate Avio Aero internal operations in accordance with the agreed Action Plan;
- to manage and improve the established standard work for the national and international Export Control requirements on the Program, to be integrated with internal processes and KPIs;
- to identify the main areas of Exportability Risk on the Program, preparing high level assessments to be addressed to the Avio Aero Program Leadership Team;
- to interact with internal and external stakeholders relevant to the licensing processes in order to facilitate licenses application, such as the main internal AA functions (i.e. Commercial and Program Management, Legal, Sourcing, Engineering, Logistics) and the national licensing Authorities (i.e. UAMA).
Qualifications/Requirements
- University Degree, preferable in Law, Political Sciences and International Relations, Administrative Law or similar subjects.
- Knowledge laws and regulations in the export control area (such as of Italian L. 185/90 and Dual Use Regulation 821/2021)
- Experience in Compliance related to export control of defense and dual use products
- Proficiency in Italian and English, working knowledge of other languages is considered a plus
- Previous experience liaising with Italian Ministry of External Affairs (UAMA office in particular) and/or Italian Ministry of Defense
- Availability for regular business trips in Italy and abroad
- Work visa as required by local regulations
- Security Clearance eligibility
