About the Role

As the Regional Business Developer for NOV, your role is pivotal in nurturing and expanding relationships with both current and prospective customers. Your responsibilities span across managing, developing, and maintaining these business relationships, with a focus on all of Rig Technologies portfolio offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen long-term customer relationships while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across NOV Rig Technologies, including capital equipment and aftermarket solutions.

• Drive continued strategic growth within the Caspian and CIS region, establishing a strong in-country presence and expanding NOV's regional market footprint.

• Lead new equipment sales initiatives and actively progress all Aftermarket business development discussions, securing sustainable and diversified revenue streams.

• Serve as NOV's dedicated commercial resource, positioned onsite within NOV AM premises to support close customer engagement, collaboration, and decision-making.

• Execute robust growth strategies by conducting market analysis, identifying opportunities, and developing effective sales plans to maximize revenue, margin, and market share.

• Apply strong technical understanding of NOV Rig Technologies products to develop tailored, commercially competitive proposals aligned with customer needs.

• Manage the complete sales pipeline, including opportunity tracking, quotations, forecasting, reporting, and delivery of monthly/quarterly activity plans with accuracy and discipline.

• Lead and coordinate tender and bid processes, including kick-off meetings, early conceptual reviews, commercial strategy development, and risk assessments-ensuring complete, high-quality, and compliant submissions.

• Support customer prequalification activities, ensuring NOV's inclusion on approved vendor lists, managing NDAs, and maintaining accurate data within client procurement systems (e.g., VDMS).

• Monitor market trends and competitive technologies to ensure NOV remains well-positioned across oil & gas, new energy, and emerging market segments.

• Promote innovation and cross-functional collaboration, enabling enhanced product offerings and unlocking new commercial opportunities across NOV's portfolio.

• Align NOV's strategy with customer roadmaps, maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support joint long-term success.

• Contribute to team capability development, supporting skill growth and career progression in partnership with the Sales Director.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Projects, Manufacturing, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, sales, or business development within offshore oil & gas, energy, renewables, or low-carbon industries.

• Proven experience working with NOV Rig Technologies products, customer relationship management, and commercial sales delivery (nice-to have)

• Strong understanding of technical, contractual, and commercial aspects of offshore technology, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contracts.

• Structured, analytical mindset with the ability to transform problems into practical solutions.

• Effective coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with a solution-oriented and constructive approach.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication capabilities; proficiency in multiple languages is highly advantageous for customer engagement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems is an advantage.

• Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English

• Ability and willingness to travel regionally as required.
