A global leader in heat exchanger and thermal management solutions is expanding its ANZ commercial team across the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Power sectors. The ANZ region is already delivering double-digit order intake growth. The company needs experienced, hunter-profile sales professionals in Sydney and Perth to accelerate this momentum and grow the customer base across both greenfield and brownfield markets.
The Opportunity
Australia's O&G, chemical, and power sectors represent a major and growing market for engineered heat exchanger solutions. LNG sustaining capital, refinery operations, downstream chemicals, and power generation assets across WA, NSW, QLD, and VIC are in active investment cycles. Our client is one of the two global market leaders in industrial heat exchangers, with one of the broadest product portfolios in the world covering air-cooled heat exchangers, plate heat exchangers, shell and tube, cooling towers, and transformer cooling systems.
We are recruiting two roles: one based in Sydney covering eastern Australia, and one based in Perth covering Western Australia's LNG, refining, and resource sector base.
The Role
As Sales Manager - O&G, Power & Chemicals, you will own the sales budget for your territory and drive order intake across the vertical market. This is a field-sales-heavy, customer-facing role. You will be the face of the company to operators, EPCs, and engineering firms. You will manage direct and indirect sales channels, develop strategic account plans, and bring in new customers while deepening relationships with existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver the annual sales budget for O&G, Chemical, and Power sectors in your territory
Drive order intake growth through new account acquisition and expansion of existing customer relationships
Develop and implement effective strategic sales plans for your territory
Manage both direct customer relationships and indirect channel/distributor partnerships
Provide customers with access to the company's global application engineering expertise
Collaborate with solution support and marketing functions to develop positioning and branding strategies
Monitor competitor activity and market price developments; develop and implement appropriate response strategies
Drive disciplined use of CRM tools, account plans, and standardised sales processes
Understand the key business drivers of each customer and identify the opportunity for the company
Champion a culture of compliance and integrity in all commercial activities
What You Bring
10+ years of front-end technical sales experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Power sectors
Proven track record of winning new accounts and delivering strong sales growth
Strong network of relationships with key operators, EPCs, and engineering firms in your territory
Experience managing both direct and indirect (channel/distributor) sales models
Proven ability to manage both greenfield project opportunities and brownfield sustaining capital accounts
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to the development of a sales organisation
Comfortable working in a matrix organisation across functions and geographies
Experience in the heat exchange or process equipment industry is a strong advantage
Fluency in English; right to work in Australia
