ABB is looking for a Senior Sales Support Engineer to join our Process Industries team in Brazil.

If you have solid experience with DCS systems, process automation, industrial networks, technical and commercial proposal development, and technical-commercial support for complex sales opportunities, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

We are looking for a professional with both technical and business acumen, capable of supporting the development of high-value solutions for industrial customers and acting strategically in automation and process control projects across mining, pulp & paper, metallurgy, and other process industries.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical reference in supporting customers, channels, Sales Specialists, and other internal areas, offering solutions for ABB applications, products, and systems.
• Analyze highly complex technical and commercial demands, identifying the best solution to meet customer needs with competitiveness and profitability.
• Lead and prepare technical and commercial proposals for control, automation, and digitalization systems, with a focus on technical accuracy, timing, and value strategy.
• Develop technical scopes for automation projects, including control architecture, industrial networks, panels, remote I/O, and IT/OT infrastructure, when applicable.
• Support the qualification and development of opportunities, contributing to value proposition building and project cost optimization strategies.
• Contribute to achieving the area's order intake and profitability targets.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with market needs and business strategy.
• Monitor technology trends, competitor movements, and the needs of the served segments, contributing to ABB's technical-commercial positioning.

Requirements

• Solid experience in preparing proposals for DCS control systems.
• Technical and hands-on experience with DCS systems applied to industrial process automation.
• Knowledge of industrial networks, topologies, redundancy strategies, and protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP, and OPC.
• Ability to understand and apply project cost optimization strategies and build a strong customer value proposition.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Advanced English, with conversational proficiency.

Nice to Have / Differentiators

• Previous experience in Mining, Metallurgy, Pulp & Paper, or other process industries.
• Knowledge of ABB control systems, such as 800xA.
• Experience with technical scope sizing for automation projects.
• A consultative profile, with strong ability to interface with commercial teams, technical areas, and customers.
