In this role, you will act as a design authority within your engineering and commercial discipline while leading cross-functional initiatives to drive sales growth and market expansion. You will be responsible for executing strategic sales plans, managing customer relationships, and ensuring achievement of business KPIs across multiple segments and divisions. You will lead the development and implementation of sales strategies for EG Motion in Algeria, ensuring alignment with global and regional stakeholders. The role requires strong ownership of sales performance, pipeline development, and market penetration initiatives, with a focus on delivering sustainable growth and profitability.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including production, operations, project management, and global/regional sales units, to ensure seamless execution, knowledge transfer, and successful delivery of customer commitments. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, safety regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and operational excellence principles while continuously improving sales processes and customer satisfaction.

This role is contributing to EG Motion sales growth, market share expansion, and execution of sales strategy in Algeria. It is reporting directly to the Local Division Manager in Egypt.

Main stakeholders are customers (OEMs, EPCs, consultants, end-users), partners, and internal ABB teams (regional/global Motion, PMMs, sales, operations, service, and finance).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with customers to define and deliver technical solutions and drive continuous improvement
  • Preparing work plans and cost estimates while ensuring execution in line with timelines, budget, and KPIs
  • Leading and guiding a team of engineers to ensure effective execution of assigned projects
  • Taking ownership of development initiatives and supporting the implementation of related strategies
  • Coordinating with production and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth manufacturing, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Ensuring effective knowledge transfer between engineering and production functions
  • Driving resolution of quality and operational issues while implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Coaching engineers in preparing engineering documentation and promoting best practices and lessons learned
  • Supporting project execution by aligning engineering activities with contractual, safety, and quality requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall project performance

Qualifications:
  • You have 6-10 years of experience in sales and business development in industrial or technical markets
  • You possess strong expertise in sales strategy, pipeline management, and achievement of order intake and revenue targets
  • You demonstrate solid knowledge of motion or industrial portfolios, ideally in Algeria or similar markets
  • You are experienced in managing relationships with OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and end-users
  • You have strong skills in market analysis, competition positioning, and value-based selling
  • You can develop and execute annual sales plans and growth strategies
  • You are effective in cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • You are at ease communicating in English, French and Arabic
