Sales & Marketing Trainee

The Sales & Marketing Training Program provides broad exposure to the Surface Business Line, field operations, and customer engagement through a structured rotational schedule based in Clairmont, Alberta. This program is designed for individuals with hands-on technical experience who are eager to transition into field-based and customer-facing roles while developing strong technical and commercial expertise. The trainee will participate in a three-year fixed-step rotational training program that delivers progressive exposure, practical experience, and professional development. Rotations include assignments in the shop, field operations, operations support, and formal classroom training. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will advance into a Technical Sales Representative role.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Execute service delivery activities in support of customer operations.
  • Support the Sales team as an entry-level contributor, with progression to a direct customer interface role upon completion of the three-year training program.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to promote company products and services.
  • Participate in job risk analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality initiatives.
  • Maintain all required safety certifications and training.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Graduated within the last three years; this is an Early Career Program following a structured fixed-step training path.
  • Strong interest or experience in sales and customer service.
  • Background or exposure to guest relations or customer-facing environments is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness and ability to reside near the designated sales territory.
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in field environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (mandatory).
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work and reside in Canada without sponsorship.
