Den Holder was founded in 1921 and has since built a worldwide reputation in its industry as a reliable manufacturer. Our products are differential pressure flow elements such as measuring plates and venturi tubes, but also other special pipe sections such as length expansion joints, sieves, sample coolers and spectacle plates.

Our organization is made up of experienced and qualified people who have acquired all the necessary know-how to design, manufacture and test our products. Den Holder is certified according to ISO 9001-2015.

Short-term deliveries are possible because all the necessary equipment is available and we have raw materials in stock.

Our main goal is to provide the highest quality products and maintain a long-term relationship with all our customers. The job for our engineers starts with the assessment of the technical part of the application. After receipt of the purchase request, drawings, calculations, welding procedures, etc. are made for our workshop and after delivery the data books with all (company) information about the products are handed over to the customer.

Core tasks of the position

The purpose of this position is to take care of the acquisition, processing and execution of sales orders. All within quality requirements, safety, planning and working budget of the sales orders. The Sales Support Engineer works in consultation with the Managing Director (end-responsible), clients, consultants, suppliers and work planners/draughtsmen. Sales orders are in the Dutch or English language.

Activities of the Sales Support Engineer

• Effectively maintaining contacts with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and third parties, in such a way that a contribution is made to the acquisition of new project orders.
• Have an effective contribution in the quotation phase, to increase the chances of acquiring new projects.
• Ensuring that the processes and activities within the production take place and are carried out in accordance with the quality manual, in such a way that the desired quality standards are achieved at all times.
• New designs and/or checking of existing designs in consultation with the client.
• Checking the detailed design based on international design codes (a.o. RToD, ASME and PED).
• Making and mastering strength calculations, flow calculations, welding method descriptions and qualifications.
• Checking material specifications.
• Supervising projects in progress.
• Technical / administrative after sales service and file management.

Responsibilities and authorizations

• The issuance of the final drawing package from the design to production and client.
• The issuance of the EC declaration of conformity with regard to the various PED modules.
• Taking corrective action where necessary.
• Reporting on the progress of the project orders.
• Making final decisions in case of deviations.

Requirements

• Materials and Application knowledge and expertise.
• Knowledge and expertise in designing pressure parts and components for the (petro-) chemical industry according to the international design codes RToD, ASME and NEN-EN-13445 (PED).
• Knowledge and expertise in the field of non-destructive testing according to the standards RToD, ASME, NEN-EN-13445 for the (petro-)chemical industry.
• Knowledge of the legal requirements for the supply of pressure parts (PED) within the European Union (Directive 97/23/EC)PED.
• Knowledge and skills of welding, welding method descriptions and management of welding qualifications according to NEN-EN-287/288.
• Being able to manage a team of draughtsmen.
• Being able to run multiple projects simultaneously.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• Team player.
• Sufficient knowledge and skills of computer use and available computer programs.
• Fluent in Dutch and English

Because of the job location the candidates must possess an EU citizenship or residency/work visa in The Netherlands.
