You will leverage your technical expertise in mine geology to execute standard duties independently with minimal supervision, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of mining activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely and in accordance with client procedures and guidelines
- Oversee the collection of grade/quality control samples and geological mapping
- Organise and compile data into geological information management systems
- Prepare grade control and geology reports for distribution to production and technical teams
- Support the planning and execution of resource infill and grade/quality control drilling programs
- Assist in compiling and analyzing data for mine reconciliation reports
- Provide first-line supervision for mine personnel and support geological sampling and drilling activities
- Maintain compliance with client standards for resources, reserves, and reconciliation
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in similar role, in a geology-related field, with exposure to exploration and resource drilling activities
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with operational staff
- Ability to follow structured procedures and maintain consistency in work
- Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
- First Aid Certificate
- 4WD Certificate
- Current WA Manual Driver's Licence
- Ability to provide a National Police Check (NPC)
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
