This Position reports to:
R&D Team Manager

Currently we are looking for a R&D Engineer for System Drives experienced in Matlab/Simulink to help us maintaining #1 position as global drives player. As a member of Research and Development (R&D) team based in Krakow you will be responsible for design, implementation and validation of control systems for special applications within ABB Motion High Power division.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Control software development for Power Electronics based applications
• Dynamic-Link Library generation, maintenance, testing and documentation
• Hardware in the Loop simulations of power electronics converters
• Analysis of field cases and finding solutions
• Cooperation with different local and global engineering teams

Qualifications for the role:

• MSc degree in field of Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Control Engineering, Automatics and Robotics or related field. PhD is a plus
• Over 3 years of experience in R&D
• Understanding of electrical circuits, converters and control theory
• Experience in Matlab/Simulink (Model Based Programming)
• Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop testing
• Experience in Python or C++ is nice to have
