This Position reports to:
R&D Department Lead

Overall Responsibilities

• Serve as the design team manager in Robotics R&D China mechanics team

Principal Accountabilities

• Responsible for planning and developing mechanical design related competences of the design team.
• Contributing to overseeing efficient project execution for the team, including all day-to-day activities and priorities, responsible for overall capacity planning and management of the team.
• Contributing to delivering high-quality, scalable and cost-effective solutions that meet business requirements over the product lifetime.
• Serving as a technical resource for internal and external contacts.
• Collaborate with x-function in daily working environment.
• Contributing to the performance of the local management team by providing your ideas and insight.
• Ensure that general administrative facilities are aligned to local law and regulations, including work safety/HSE, IS/IT Adhering to, and partner with, the LBU regarding work safety/HSE etc.
• Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Eng. or equivalent.
• Experience: 8+ years' in product/technical development, project, and/or line management.
• Good understanding of technology and product development.
• Good interpersonal skill, familiar with local labor law and regulations.
• General competencies: Leadership skills, global mindset, business understanding, results orientation.
• Self-motivated and open-minded.
