We are seeking R&D Product Support Engineer to join our R&D Product Support Team within the Marine and Ports division in Ostrava. This role is ideal for electrical engineer who is eager to contribute to product configurator development and support product lifecycle management tool.

Your role and responsibilities

You will be working with a broad portfolio of marine electrical power and propulsion technologies, including but not limited to transformers, converters, switchgears, generators and propulsion systems. You will come across systems such as Onboard DC Grid, Onboard AC Grid, Shaft Generator system and more.

You will be responsible for preparing and delivering detailed technical specifications for the software development team, while also providing essential support to colleagues working with the product lifecycle management (PLM) system.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support global development projects involving key marine system components, including electrical and digital products that power, propel, and control seagoing vessels.
• Analyze and understand marine products from a technical perspective.
• Provide support through the creation of documentation, tools, training materials, and other product‑related resources.
• Actively contribute to the activities and initiatives of the product R&D team.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering (e.g., Power Electronics, Power Systems)
• Solid general technical knowledge of electrical systems and power system components
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency with electrical engineering design platforms such as EPLAN (advantage)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio (advantage)
• Practical experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably PTC Windchill
• Experience in preparing technical documentation (advantage)
• Familiarity with marine products or marine applications (advantage)
