Job Title: Laboratory Technician I
Location: Beaumont, TX
Duration: 12‑month contract
Schedule: Dupont Shift (4 days on / 3 days off)
Hours: 36–48 hours per week
Pay Rate: $26 per hour
Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician I supports refinery and plant operations by performing routine and non‑routine laboratory analyses to ensure product quality and process control. This role works closely with laboratory supervisors and chemists to generate accurate analytical data in support of quality assurance and quality control initiatives. The position operates under established procedures and receives direction for assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine laboratory testing and wet chemistry analyses on product and in-process samples
• Prepare, handle, and analyze samples to support quality assurance and quality control objectives
• Calibrate, operate, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory instruments and test equipment
• Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and calibration standards
• Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Assist lab supervisors and chemists in addressing quality or process issues
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and laboratory best practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical or polytechnic background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering
• Working knowledge of laboratory testing methods and instrumentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
• Computer‑literate with basic data entry and documentation skills
• Ability to work rotating Dupont shift schedules
• Comfortable working in an industrial or refinery laboratory environment
