Terms of Use
This position is for a Lead R&D Laboratory Technician, a critical role supporting Heavy Duty Engine Oil (HDEO) product development programs. The successful candidate will support global product development teams and work closely with engineers, formulators, and research scientists. The role requires regular coordination with team members on a daily basis and periodic hands-on work in a laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support execution of Heavy Duty Engine Oil product development testing programs in a timely and efficient manner
- Work closely with formulators, engineers, and research scientists to coordinate and track testing activities
- Collect, organize, and manage test data; support basic data review and analysis
- Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to document results and communicate updates
- Perform basic laboratory work as needed, following established procedures and safety standards
- Communicate frequently with cross-functional and global team members
- Act as a collaborative team player, supporting global product development activities
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are critical for success in this role:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and execute multiple projects in parallel
- Effective communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers and chemists
- Proficiency in handling, organizing, and working with data
The following qualifications are important or desired:
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to remove barriers and improve efficiency
- Basic knowledge of engines, chemistry, and/or lubrication principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred

- The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,700 - $136,700. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
