Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team responsible for electrical testing on low-voltage circuit breakers and switchboards, contributing to the preparation of test setups, the interpretation of results and the preparation of test reports, for both Research & Development (R&D) and certification purposes.

This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business area in particular for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo Main stakeholder the Research and Development Department and external customer.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Defining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, preparing the necessary test set-up, the required measure instruments, connecting the device under test on the testing plant and executing tests;
• Analyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested
• Producing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issue the reports

• Proposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, in particular for test and measurement equipment
• Assisting and supporting customer during testing activities

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in a Electrical, or Electronic field
• You are highly skilled in Electrotechnical Knowledge
• Ability to demonstrate your manual skills, analysis capacity and interpretation of results
• You are qualified in computer skills (programming knowledge and office software package and PLC programs)
• You are passionate about precision, teamwork and have an high desire to learn and attitude for problem solving
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English language
• Availability to work in rotating shifts
