In Electrification Business - Smart Power Division, we are looking for a Global Standardization Specialist in standards development with specific focus on direct current (DC) power distribution, data centers, solar and energy storage, with geographic focus on North America. In this role you will be team member of Center of Excellence (CoE) - Certification Engineering and Standardization.

Your role and responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Actively participate as a representative of ABB in technical committees, working groups and task forces of standardization organizations, such as UL and IEC.
- Contribute to the development of product and system standards relevant for ABB's low voltage portfolio of products and digital solutions.
- Engage with Innovation and development agile teams to ensure alignment of product with applicable existing and developing standards.
- Early detect and monitor new trends in standards and regulations that can impact ABB's product offer.
- Participate in the Smart Power's standardization and innovation network.
- Actively participate as a representative in working groups or task forces of industrial associations like Current/OS or similar.
- Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor's or Master degree in electrical engineering and preferably 5 years of experience, preferably in the field of LV electrical components or similar industry.
- Experience in electrical systems such as AC and DC networks in low voltage; short-circuit protections, selectivity and back-up protections and knowledge of Direct Current applications
- Proven experience in product testing and/or certification, preferably in the field of LV electrical components or similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and certification processes.
- Membership or willingness to participate in industry-standard committees such as UL and IEC.
- Strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Agile mindset and preferable experience in an agile working context
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Negotiation skills, market knowledge, leadership skills, social skills complete the profile
- No obstacles for travelling.
