Job purpose:

As part of DHL Group's Sustainability Road Map, Corporate Real Estate has set ambitious targets to deliver sustainable buildings with zero or near-zero operational carbon across new developments and long-term leased properties.

In this role, you will support the delivery of these commitments by contributing to sustainability assessments, business case reviews, and the ongoing development of the Sustainable Building Framework.

You will support across key focus areas such as solar photovoltaic solutions, heating decarbonization, energy efficiency, and biodiversity, while helping regional teams implement sustainable building standards across DHL's global portfolio.

Your tasks:
  • Support the update and further development of DHL's Sustainable Building Framework and related processes in line with EPBD requirements and DHL's SBTi targets
  • Support the delivery of the Heating Decarbonization Strategy across DHL sites
  • Prepare sustainability assessments, proposals, and ESG-related business cases
  • Conduct solar photovoltaic (PV) assessments and support energy efficiency and carbon audits at DHL sites
  • Engage with country and regional teams to increase knowledge and understanding of sustainable building methodologies and support training activities
  • Conduct research, analyses, and develop analytical tools and concepts related to sustainable buildings
  • Support the creation of user guides and communication materials related to the Sustainable Buildings Framework
  • Manage assigned tasks while considering costs, timelines, resources, quality, and risks
  • Ensure close alignment with other activities within the Sustainability team
Your profile:
  • Degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental, or economic disciplines with a focus on environmental or policy-related aspects, or an equivalent qualification
  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Foundational technical knowledge of sustainable buildings and a strong passion for sustainability
  • Project management skills with a structured, analytical, and strategic approach
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Highly flexible, independent, and a strong team player
  • Integrity, persistence, and loyalty
  • Ability to work remotely and in a global, multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
