Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects across different stages, from inception to completion, including:
  • Managing in-country stakeholder engagement with government bodies, beneficiaries, and partners
  • Organising and supporting meetings, workshops, and consultations, including preparation of summaries and reports
  • Providing local market, policy, and institutional insights to inform project activities
  • Leading or contributing to problem-solving efforts and solution development
  • Conducting research and analysis to support project delivery teams based outside Vietnam
  • Identifying project risks and supporting the development of mitigation strategies
• Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to support current and future work in Vietnam
• Represent the organisation in client meetings, conferences, workshops, and relevant industry events as required
• Support business development activities through technical input, market intelligence, and stakeholder engagement

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of low-carbon development topics, including:
  • Energy transition and power sector reform
  • Renewable energy (e.g. offshore wind)
  • Energy efficiency and industrial decarbonisation
  • Sustainable finance and climate-related policy instruments
• Demonstrated experience delivering consulting or advisory projects for:
  • Public sector clients
  • Multilateral or bilateral donors
  • Philanthropic organisations and/or private sector stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage client and government relationships and influence diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical, strategic problem-solving, and solution development skills
• Ability to work effectively within small, international teams and independently deliver workstreams
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Vietnamese, including:
  • Leading or facilitating workshops
  • Presenting to senior audiences
  • Producing high-quality reports and briefing papers
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. energy, economics, public policy, sustainability, engineering, or finance)
• 10–12 years of professional experience in the low-carbon or energy sector
• Proven track record leading or contributing to strategic consulting or advisory projects
• Solid understanding of energy policy, technology, and finance in Vietnam and/or Southeast Asia
