Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Aegis Aerospace is currently accepting applications for an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to support electrical harness design with our team in Littleton, Colorado.

This is an onsite role with an expected salary is $80,000.00 -$130,000.00 per year depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Overview
The purpose of this position is to work with the prime contractor in developing and designing electrical harness design for the Geo-XO spacecraft. This position will support Aegis' contract with Lockheed Martin (LM) in Littleton, CO. The engineer will work with Lockheed Martin's team developing schematics, interface control drawings (ICD), channelization database, and component performance specifications using LM's processes. In addition, perform verification and peer reviews. Applicants will be responsible for design review products, review of results, and communicating results effectively to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop design requirements specification documents
  • Design the electromechanical packages
  • Develop designs and ICDs using Zuken E3 and Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM)
  • Assist team in maturing individual harness designs, specifically models in Creo Parametric Cable
  • Assist team in development of Harness Assembly Drawings, Bill of Materials, Assembly notes, and other engineering documentation needs
  • Generate Preliminary and Critical Design Review (PDR) and (CDR) products
  • Provide weekly design progress

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years' experience electromechanical design
  • Experience working with Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM)
  • Fluent with Zuken E3 software
  • Fluent with Creo Parametric Cabling software
  • Must have US Citizenship.
  • Experienced technical problem solver.
  • Experience with interpersonal skills in a teaming environment where collaboration and communication are critical to the functioning of the team.
  • Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, project leads, customers, and with contract colleagues is essential.
  • Ability to attain and maintain respect and confidence of the customer and contract personnel. A close, cooperative customer interface is essential.
  • Mature, professional judgment in establishing objectives, milestones and priorities.
  • Reliable and dependable work habits and dedication to get the job done.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience working on government contracts.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
