Summary:

Leads and manages the assigned Energy Storage Portfolio. Duties will include management of Regional Managers, Site Managers, Technicians, Owners, Contractors, and Equipment. The O&M Manager will oversee Contracts and Reporting, all field duties and functions needed to run multiple successful utility scale Solar facilities. This position will work with Management, OT, IT, OCC, Finance, Safety, Technical Analysist, and Regulatory Compliance. This position's responsibilities will ensure the compliance for training of on-site personnel, corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment, system testing, accurate troubleshooting and monitoring the quality and safety of contractors or employees, performing any work required.

Requirements:
  • Manages day to day operation of renewable energy assets, which may include Wind, Solar and Energy Storage.
  • Manages Owner relationship.
  • Manages contracts with owners, vendors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Manages project budgets, tracks expenses, and ensures projects stay within allocated resources.
  • Investigates outside vendors to partner with RES in future projects.
  • Coordinates with appropriate parties to plan and execute facility success.
  • Guides the plant managers on the preparation and implementation of plant operation and maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local requirements.
  • Supports fault finding and investigation into equipment failures and under performance.
  • Assists with or Writes facility specific and departmental O&M plans and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge with OSHA, NERC, ERCOT, TRE, NFPA, and other regulatory groups as required.
  • Guides the support staff in the creation of operational reports.
  • Provides a high level of professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Recruits, selects and manages plant operating, maintenance and administrative staff.
  • Oversees the procurement of parts, materials, services and supports resolution of technical issues.
  • Assists as needed to support Owners, Managers, Techs and Group
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Assists with site data collection as required.
  • Coordinates resources to provide technical supports for site operations.
  • Uses the company tools for reliability and performance analysis.
  • Manages reliability improvement with site and service personnel.
  • Maintains Operations and Management (O&M) cost trackers and models future O&M costs.
  • Works with various teams to analyze expected vs. actual production data.
  • Leads and follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate needed action.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions while protecting employees and equipment.
  • Uses materials and equipment properly.

Safety:
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate actions.
  • Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows sage practices while working.
  • Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates "at risk" behaviors.
  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) occurs before scopes of work commerce.
  • Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviors and correct "at risk" behaviors.
  • Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job-and-task-specific training prior to work commencing.

Leadership:
  • Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.
  • Manages one or more direct reports.
  • Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.
  • Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school/GED General Education required.
  • Bachelor Degree Electrical Engineering or Business Management required.
  • 5+ years related managerial/people leader experience required.
  • 2+ years related Supervisory experience within a Renewable Energy environment OR analytics of renewable energy assets (Wind, Solar, Energy Storage)
  • Certification PMP preferred.
  • Experience with utility scale Battery Energy Storage Facility and its management
  • Strong management background
  • Field Electrical experience in utility grade facilities a plus
  • Experience with Energy Storage a plus
  • Strong skills with Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and manage a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to represent RES professionally in all aspects.
  • Ability to work effectively with other groups within RES.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to interface in a greater team environment.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Basic electrical knowledge a plus
  • Ability to reliably respond to operational issues, occasionally on a 24/7 basis.
  • Operate a vehicle/be eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Functional competencies include teamwork, customer focus, collaboration, communication, and attention to detail
  • Domestic and international travel 5-15% required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Anticipated base salary range: $117,000 - $138,000

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
