The work model for the role is hybrid in Memphis, TN #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Shape the future: Define and advance our Electrical & Software Technology Roadmap to support product evolution and explore new adjacencies. Stay ahead: Keep abreast of cutting-edge technologies and processes to enhance ELIP's competitive edge. Drive innovation: Collaborate with Product Management and Business Development to focus R&D on high-value customer needs. Lead creativity: Facilitate cross-functional ideation sessions using innovative frameworks to generate out-of-the-box concepts. Prototype potential: Develop proof of concept prototypes to validate new innovations. Transform ideas: Help the Product Management team integrate new innovations into the project gate process. Expand horizons: Identify new suppliers and suggest acquisition targets to broaden market coverage and vertical integration. Inspire growth: Mentor engineers to foster a culture of open, innovative thinking across Electrification Installation Products division.

Qualifications for the role

• A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in an engineering function, mathematics, or science discipline, or an MBA combined with an engineering bachelor's degree.
• At least years 8 years of product experience demonstrating innovative thinking.
• A curious nature to discover solutions for unmet customer needs, proposing hypothetical solutions and driving a proof of concept.
• Comfortable working with uncertain "grey areas" to successfully identify new solutions.
• Aptitude in drawing out diverse perspectives by facilitating group ideation, using inquisitive communication and coaching skills.
• Understanding of business case analysis, including the relationship between market value, cost, sales volume, and investment.
• Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) processes, IP development, and IP acquisitions for product value.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
