Role Overview:
- Oversee the comprehensive maintenance of all facilities, including buildings, equipment & infrastructure.
- Set up an effective system of recording and monitoring of defects and breakdown reports in order to take remedy and immediate actions to minimize shut down time.
- Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance & facility personnel, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage work request by arranging the manpower, material & schedule to ensure maximum equipment time - fostering a culture of efficiency in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues promptly.
- To plan, organize and lead an efficient Preventive Maintenance program for plant, equipment and machinery via Maximo.
- Ensure that the maintenance program is in accordance to the company, machinery department, Department of Environment and other relevant by-laws regulations and statutory requirements' WWTP Operation, Scrubber & Schedule Waste.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and equipment procurement - service contracts and define work scope.
- Lead and review the overall Management of Change System & Procedures in order to provide rigorous control of all modifications in the plant to ensure all changes are properly assessed and documented, thus preventing any occurrence of incidents related to process safety failure.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders on facility-related matters.
- To assist EHS department in executing work related to Facility maintenance (Example: Fire Alarm system, EHS related concern /action closure).
- Lead security team to safeguard the facility, overseeing the maintenance of security systems including CCTV & access control.
- Continuously assess & enhance site security protocols to address emerging threats.
- Assist and advise EHS & Facilities Manager where is applicable & perform any ad-hoc duties or assignment when assigned by Superior.
The Ideal Candidate:
- An experienced and proactive professional with a strong technical background in facilities management and maintenance operations. They possess a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance within the facility.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Maintenance & Facilities management within manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years experience in managing a team.
- Experience in leading and managing a Maintenance & Facilities team, with strong leadership skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, utility operations & Project Management.
- Certification in facility management or related field is a plus. i.e.: WWTP, Schedule Waste & Scrubber.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of hazards and precautions associated with plant operations and processes.
- Proven ability to interpret manufacturers' operations and maintenance manuals and apply the indicated practices.
- Demonstrated the understanding of safety, quality and LEAN methodologies in the workplace.
