JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting a Lead Electrical Technician for the ENI Douglas, mobilising from Blackpool.

Responsible for the safe, efficient & cost effective operation of the specific discipline group operations. Supports the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for organising and overseeing discipline specific group activities including vendors. Also compiles a discipline specific weekly handover for the oncoming shift team lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Direct the discipline team and provide detailed and accurate reports to Maintenance Supervisor position on a regular basis including the identification and communication of any issues that might prevent work progression
  2. Provide feedback and answers to queries across disciplines for the Supervisors
  3. Ensure the safe, efficient and effective work execution for the discipline group
  4. Apply a level of quality control to discipline work by actively visiting work sites, reviewing work during progress and upon completion ensuring high standards are applied at all times
  5. Assist specialist contractor personnel as necessary in the undertaking and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activity and tasks on associated trade equipment
  6. Liaise with specialist vendors for manpower requirement and equipment hire
  7. Lead visiting specialist contractor personnel in the undertaking of their activities and tasks
  8. Manage self and team in conjunction with Supervisor where additional hours may be required to complete critical scopes in line with the Client Fatigue Management policy
  9. Ensure that work is liquidated on time and in accordance with the Client's Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
  10. Generate discipline permits to a consistent high standard ensuring all supporting isolations and documentation are provided
  11. Liaise with other core disciplines to ensure any support required (such as lifting / access requirements) are in place prior to work execution
  12. Participate in planning meetings
  13. Manage discipline group consumables and spares inventory, manage inventory lists and re-ordering of stock
  14. Oversee all scaffolding, lifting, rigging and logistics are in place prior to work execution and instruct removal upon completion of work
  15. Verify work sites on completion of work are suitable for handover, all tooling, unused materials returned and housekeeping is to a high standard with all waste disposed of in correct manner
  16. Where equipment is removed and to be returned, in conjunction with the materials controller, be responsible for managing this activity and for ensuring that all required supporting documentation and tracking is in place
  17. Identify materials and resource requirements as part of the notification / work order build up process
  18. Raise Maintenance Change Request forms for the discipline group
  19. Manage discipline group assigned areas of responsibility
  20. Management of daily condition monitoring and system checks to update spreadsheets for Engineering
  21. Prioritise and deliver the weekly plan to include NOPA's and breakdowns in a professional and safe manner


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course
  • OGUK medical
  • MIST
  • Permit to work system awareness (preferably ISSoW)
  • Computerised planned maintenance system (preferably SAP)
  • STOP and/or Synergi awareness or equivalent
  • Relevant qualifications in core discipline background - refer to technician job description in appropriate discipline
  • Previous supervisors experience or completion of Supervisory Management Training and Development (SMTD) or equivalent is desirable
