This role is open globally, preferred locations are set in Vaasa (Finland), Bangalore or Faridabad (India), Shanghai (China) . The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.

As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a strategic leader to step into our role as Division CIO for the IEC Low Voltage Motors Division (MOIM). Reporting to the Division Head of Operations and functionally to the Motion Business Area CIO, this role is pivotal in shaping and executing the digital and information strategy across the Division.

As Division CIO, you co-lead the digital transformation of MOIM's global functions and regions, embedding digitalization as a core enabler of the division's business strategy. You are accountable for shaping and executing the division's information management and technology agenda, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational excellence.

You also provide executive leadership to business process, data, and application owners, as well as to digital, IT, and information management professionals. You oversee the governance and optimization of technology investments and operations, ensuring they deliver measurable business value. Through close collaboration with global and regional business leaders, you drive innovation in the use of technology to accelerate growth, enhance efficiency, and strengthen MOIM's competitive edge.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning & execution : Co-develop and execute a comprehensive digitalization strategy across business functions and regions, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.


  • Change & Transformation Management : Drive change management for IT adoption, mentoring stakeholders and project leaders to ensure successful digital transformation.


  • Technology & Innovation Enablement : Monitor emerging technologies and trends, introducing innovative solutions to enhance business capabilities and competitiveness.


  • People & Culture Leadership : Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of process excellence and scalable IT architecture.


  • Information & Infrastructure Management : Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of secure, reliable, and scalable IT systems and infrastructure.


  • Cybersecurity & Risk Mitigation : Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, proactively manage threats, and maintain business resilience through continuity planning.


  • Vendor & Financial Oversight : Manage vendor relationships and IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and measurable value realization from technology investments.


  • Governance & Compliance : Enforce IT governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate standards across all information systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science , Information Technology, or other master's degree


  • Business management experience across various business functions


  • Extensive experience in information management and technology leadership roles with a proven track record of success.


  • Strong understanding of business strategy, business operating models and business operations and of current and emerging technologies .


  • Experienced leader with excellent collaboration, and interpersonal skills.


  • Experience in strategic planning and execution


  • Strong problem-solving, innovative thinking, improvisation and decision-making abilities.


  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulations.
