Do you want to improve grid-connection and plant control systems across the Mediterranean with an international team?

Vestas Mediterranean "Grid Solutions" is a international department designing and managing grid‑connection, compliance, and control systems across the full project lifecycle—from Development to Sales, Construction, and Service—in the Mediterranean region (Southern & Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East).

You'll collaborate with professionals in Spain, Italy, France, and even team members in South Africa—making it a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:
  • Stay ahead of grid‑connection code updates and liaise with system operators in countries like Italy and France
  • Gather market insights and feed them to Vestas R&D to shape future plant compliance and competitive grid offerings
  • Support Sales with electrical and grid‑standards input during contract negotiation and bid definition
  • Review tender documents and help mitigate risk on a project-specific basis
  • Implement value engineering and optimize business cases for grid-connected plant solutions
  • Prepare contract annexes related to grid and plant control
  • Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning, including control system design, implementation, and testing
  • Participate in technical discussions with clients, grid operators, utilities, and contractors around wind plant grid performance and integration


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in grid connection for renewable energy, in wind power or at system operators (e.g. TERNA, RTE, ENEDIS)
  • Familiarity with wind power technology, including electrical design and control for WTGs and PPC
  • Knowledge of TERNA (Italy) or RTE/ENEDIS (France) grid connection code requirements (e.g. A17, A18) and substation design
