The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Future Team
- Join our Commissioning Team out Basra (Iraq) where you will be working under the Commissioning Manager. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing hands-on commissioning activities.
Job Objectives:
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer solves complex problems and uses his discipline-specific knowledge to improve his product or service. He (she) impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Commissioning team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
- Required to support the commissioning team by performing any of the following activities as a minimum:
- Commissioning and Start-up Spares development
- First Fills and Consumables development
- Commissioning, and Start-Up Procedures
- Function testing of electrical systems
- Participate in Commissioning, Start-Up and Performance Testing
- Resolve operational and maintenance issues during Commissioning, Start-Up, and Performance Tests
- Ensure all electrical system designs (LV, MV, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV systems, etc.) comply with international standards and Iraqi regulation.
- Provide technical input and design solutions during project execution stages.
- Supervise and inspect on-site electrical installations to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during the construction phase in coordination with the project and site teams.
- Conduct site inspections and testing/commissioning of electrical systems.
- Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and documentation required for authority approvals and project handover.
- Supervise and inspect on-site electrical installations to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during the construction phase in coordination with the project and site teams.
- Ensure design is completed as per assigned scope
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- 10 years' work experience in Oil and Gas plant operation
- Experience on EPC and commissioning
- Highly developed knowledge of industrial automation and electrical systems and Codes and Norms in the European community and preferable in France.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning, defect repair, and maintenance of petroleum equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design codes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, and other electrical design software.
- Perform T&C of substation different type of activities (Scheme check, protection Relays test, Open loop test , Closed Loop test, all types of stability test)
- Onsite management of trade support team for operations, defect repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with factory acceptance testing and documentation vetting.
Skills:
- Site experience - construction and commissioning.
- Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
- With a developed interfaces relationship contact, placing the customer at the center of your uneasiness.
- Experience in project planning, execution, management, and communication with all stakeholders in large successful capital projects
- Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of word, databases, spreadsheets and discipline related application software.
- Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
- Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
- Previously worked successfully in a key leadership position.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
