EMS (European Maintenance Support), is part of the ENGIE Group that executes specialized maintenance activities in different power plants in Belgium and Europe (mostly The Netherlands and France). Inside the Electrical Engineering team, we are currently looking for an Electrical Protections Engineer (M/F/X).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Electrical Protections Engineer
- You lead electrical protection replacement projects from initial study to final commissioning.
- You dive into the technical details of protection systems and related studies.
- You aim to become a subject matter expert to support both ENGIE and external sites.
- You perform Root-Cause Analyses and define corrective/preventive actions during outages.
- You continuously build expertise through internal feedback processes and industry events.
- You provide technical support to power plants on protection relays, paralleling devices, and fault recorders.
- You hold a Master's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering (Electricity, Power Systems, Energy, Mathematics, or Physics). Previous experience with OEMs is a plus.
- You demonstrate strong interest and deep understanding of electrical protection systems.
- You are fluent in English and French and/or Dutch, with excellent communication skills across technical and engineering teams.
- You are analytical, solution-oriented, and eager to grow into a reference expert within and beyond ENGIE.
- You are a collaborative team player, result-driven, and able to work towards shared goals.
- You are mobile with a valid European driving license; experience with OEMs is a plus.

- 1h online questionnaires and abstract reasoning exercises
- First interview with Nancy and n+1: Vasiliki Balafouti, the manager of this team. (Extensive introduction, testing soft and hard skills and completing online personality assessment and abstract reasoning skills).
- Technical interview, face to face, with experts of the team
- External assessment center (via Hudson)
