Wood is recruiting for a National Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.
Required to perform the maintenance, testing, and repair of all electrical systems, equipment, and components at Client onshore facilities in a manner consistent with regulatory and environmental rules, regulations, and testing procedures.
Please note this position is only open to National Equatorial Guinea personnel.
Location: Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
Rotation Work Pattern: Residential position 6-day week 8-10 hour day

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Required to perform the maintenance, testing, and repair of all electrical systems, equipment, and components in a manner consistent with regulatory and environmental rules, regulations, and testing procedures
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance activities on electrical systems, equipment, and components on the facility according to manufacturers' recommendations and company requirements
- Use of electrical test equipment to conform with maintenance program
- Perform general maintenance/testing of Aguilera fire alarm, FM200 & CO2 suppression systems
- Trouble shooting of all electrical equipment, machinery & controls.
- Maintain swimming pool electrical equipment
- Check & maintain APC Galaxy UPS systems
- Ground testing
- Installation & maintenance of I.T. equipment.
- Installation of electrical projects
- Maintenance, switching & repair of generators
- Assist other trades as necessary including HVAC, mechanics and third-party technicians as required
- Prepare Permits to Work, Job Safety Analysis and Energy Isolation requirements
- Perform Electrical Energy isolations as per Company LOTO policy
- Prepare Work requests as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you remarkable?
Essential requirements for this role:
- Graduate from an electrical technical school
- Completion of recognized Electrical vocational program and/or proven experience working as an Electrician
- Experience of working in the oil and gas or equivalent industry
- Trouble shooting skills, repair & maintenance knowledge of LV electrical equipment.
- Experience of Generators & switchgear - Caterpillar C32 & DIEF is not mandatory but preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematic and one-line drawings
- Experience with electrical installations - including cable glanding & termination, conduits, cable tray.
- Advanced knowledge of Electrical test equipment.
- Knowledge of fire alarm/suppression systems
- Advanced knowledge of UPS systems
- Experience is Building Management Systems is preferred but not mandatory
Desirable:
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Team player with a positive attitude & commitment to Health & Safety in the workplace
- Advanced knowledge of safe working practices. Permit to Work, Job safety Analysis, Energy Isolations
- The ability to responsibly work on own and provide feedback to line supervisor on issues and job progress
- Computer literate with experience with Excel, Word & CMMS systems
