Job Title: Artificial Lift R&M Technician

Job Overview:
Weatherford is seeking an Artificial Lift R&M Technician to join our team in Estevan, Saskatchewan. This role is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of artificial lift equipment and tools, ensuring they are prepared for deployment in the field. The position involves hands-on technical work in a shop environment and requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, dismantle, repair, and reassemble artificial lift tools and equipment (sucker rods, rod pumps, PCP systems, and related components).
  • Utilize technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with Weatherford standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and comply with Weatherford's HSE policies and "Rules to Live By."
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Prepare tools for field deployment, ensuring readiness and reliability.
  • Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in a safe and presentable condition.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices to inspect parts and determine dimensional requirements.
  • Perform repairs using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, and wrenches.
  • Seek opportunities to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and basic electrical/electronic testing.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with artificial lift systems (rod lift, PCP, gas lift, sucker rods).
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
