This Position reports to:

Rebuild, repair, and maintain in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications on all plant equipment. The performance of this job ensures that the facility runs efficiently to complete production requirements. Machinery must be maintained, avoiding downtime.

This Position reports to:
Maintainace Supervisor

The performance of this job ensures that the facility runs efficiently to complete production requirements. Machinery must be maintained, avoiding downtime.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Safety
- Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.
- Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.
- Participates in plant safety objectives.
Job Functions
- Supports company mission, vision and goals
- Able to work with sense of urgency and prioritizing tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment and testing instruments
- Observe mechanical and electrical devices in operation to locate cause of trouble
- Dismantle devices to gain access to remove defective parts
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Repair, replace or rebuild necessary parts to make machine function safely
- Start device to test performance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all machines and equipment for proper operation
- Use prints and drawings provided by the manufacturer and the engineering department for the rebuilding procedures
- Lay out electrical panels from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions, which would include microprocessors, relays, etc.
- Set up and operate drill press, grinder, welding, and cutting equipment to make and/or repair parts
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Observe company safety rules, regulations, and policies
- Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties
- May be required to work other shifts and over-time
- Help maintain an orderly and clean working environment
- Forklift certification required. Must have clean driving record
- Interprets and reacts to data trends on available up time, mean time between repairs
Education and Experience
- High School Education, GED or Equivalent
- Must have 2 years post-secondary technical training or 5 years industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
- Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
- Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
Skills and/or Training
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand various written instructions in English
- Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
- Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
- Stand for long periods
- Good hand dexterity
- Strong math skills
