Division: Combined Operations: Tubular Running Services, Fishing & Re-entry & Completions
Overview:
Weatherford is seeking a dedicated Repair & Maintenance Technicians to support Combined Operations in Suriname. This hands-on role is responsible for the inspection, repair, and refurbishment of specialized field tools used in Tubular Running Services, Fishing & Re-entry & Completions. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble Tubular Running Services, Fishing & Re-entry & Completions tools using technical manuals and procedures.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
• Operate hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, checklists, and maintenance logs.
• Safely handle equipment using forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks (certification required).
• Support incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Report equipment failures and assist in troubleshooting.
• Uphold Weatherford's safety and quality standards in all tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Preferred:
• Experience with Tubular Running Services, Fishing & Re-entry & Completions assemblies.
• Familiarity with NDT/NDE practices and ATEX principles.
• Forklift and crane operation certification.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Time management and task prioritization.
• Quality control awareness and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and work in confined spaces.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
