Job Description

The Facility Technician is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repair installed electrical, mechanical and other systems to ensure cost-effective, safe operation of an assigned facility with a view to long-term preservation of the asset value.

Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well

both independently and in a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems in compliance with local codes and standards. Ensure the preparation and implementation of a preventive maintenance plan for equipment, communications, pressure or electrical installations and devices.

• Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.

• Perform technical supervision of the condition of buildings, structures, equipment, power and lighting networks and installations.

• Maintain timely testing and monitoring of the correct operation of steam boilers, devices, vessels, pressure equipment, cranes and other lifting mechanisms, abrasive wheels and heating system.

• Monitor personal safety of employees involved in facility maintenance operations. Control usage of personal protective equipment.

• Understand equipment and methods of operations, BMS systems, and fire and life safety systems. Comply with all safety procedures and requirements; comply with local, country and other ordinances and codes.

• Plan and direct facility management (FM) services, including facility operating systems, maintenance processes, repair and improvement, custodial services and security operations.

• Coordinate maintenance activities within the functions and departments to optimize the productivity and utilization of personnel and equipment.

• Recommend operating methods and equipment to reduce FM costs through new sources, substitutions, improved systems or methods, service quality and safety.

• Coordinate preparation of contract scope and specifications. Administer facility service agreements for maintenance.

• Ensure consistent implementation of standards for clean and tidy facilities and support operations through site-base auditing.

• Support and develop sustainability projects, upgrade facility assets with latest eco-friendly technologies. Keep control on utilities consumption

• Coordinate campaigns for implementing the standard professional facility image.

• Eliminate any malfunctions and defects in equipment and mechanisms that affect their safe operation.

• Support corporate within Facility Maintenance team. Create atmosphere of mutual respect within SLB core and Contractors. Engage teammates on Continuous Improvement and procedural adherence

• Interface with local authorities and Suppliers representative. Follow Company's values in sourcing and competing practices

Qualifications and Experience:

• Higher Education in Mechanics / Engineering / Electronics (distance learning acceptable).

• Advanced PC skills: Outlook / Word / Excel.

• Ability to read technical drawings and schemes; create basic sketches.

• Knowledge of relevant technical systems.

• Language skills: Turkmen (fluent), Russian (basic), English (basic).

• Additional technical skills, related certifications, or knowledge of industrial systems.

• Oil and Gas industry experience highly preferable.

• Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of facility assets (compressors, pumps, AC units, heaters, etc.).

• Knowledge of operating complex industrial equipment (high-pressure test bays, offshore units).

• Experience managing a team of approximately 10 employees.
