Key responsibilities

As a service technician in the Human System Interface department, you will be responsible for independently managing service requests and orders. In this role, you take accountability for the timely and budget-compliant execution of service contracts, while consistently ensuring adherence to all quality and safety standards.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Support in the implementation of service contracts as well as maintenance of systems and equipment within critical infrastructure environments.
  • Administration of Windows servers and clients, networks, backup solutions, and group policies, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for technical inquiries - both remotely and on-site for national and international customers.
  • Coordination, alignment, and definition of work processes, as well as their execution directly at the customer's site.
  • Preparation of reports, protocols, and technical documentation, including the maintenance and expansion of system overviews, functional, wiring, and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensuring and enhancing customer satisfaction through excellent service throughout all project phases.


Qualifications for the role
  • Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience in automation technology.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%, with around 70% of travel within Germany.
  • Solid knowledge in networking, IT security, virtualization (VMware), Active Directory, WSUS, and Acronis. Initial experience with ABB 800xA and ABB Melody is an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Business fluent German skills and fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong focus on occupational safety and a strong commitment to complying with all safety regulations.
  • Team-oriented, solution-focused working style with excellent communication skills, high self-motivation, and curiosity to continuously learn about new technologies.
