Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician with industrial experience, to ensure the HVAC systems in plant and associated buildings are maintained in line with equipment strategies and manufacturers' recommendations at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane.

This is an exciting opportunity for a HVAC Technician with proven record in equipment maintenance preferably in heavy industrial facilities or refinery, troubleshooting and repair, and great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement safe work practices on site, ensuring the safety culture and behaviours are consistent with the company and client expectations
• Be fully engaged and knowledgeable in the collaborative tools to achieve an accident-free workplace (JSA, SWMS, PTW)
• Ensure compliance with SWP for working at heights and scaffolding guidelines
• Ensure compliance with company and client work management processes
• Monitor and update maintenance procedures for HVAC equipment onsite
• Monitor HVAC inventory to ensure reliability of HVAC systems
• Responsible for complete HVAC systems inside and out.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC (domestic and predominantly industrial)
• Recommending and overseeing plant site work execution and preparation to ensure flawless implementation/maintenance
• Manage inventory for all HVAC systems
• Local housekeeping, including waste management
• Fully competent knowledge of HVAC principles, along with multi-manufacturer and types of HVAC systems
• Experience managing onsite sub-contractors where required to execute work.

Skills / Qualifications

• Electrical license, A Grade
• Cert III Refrigeration / Air Conditioning and Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification
• Full Refrigerant Handling License
• Existing EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space accreditation preferred
• SAP experience considered favourably
• Valid Drivers' License.
