Electrical Technicians - Triton Power (Saltend)

Contract type: Fixed Term Project

Start date: Staggered starts from December 2025

Salary: £22.44ph

Role details:

Installation of a 200 tonne/hr (net) Natural Gas/H₂-fired Water-Tube Boiler and Associated Plant

The project involves the installation, erection, assembly, and commissioning of a new secondary steam generation boiler system at Saltend Power Station.

The new boiler forms part of an expansion of the site's steam generation capability and integrates with the existing cogeneration facility.

11 Day Fortnight working pattern

3 - 4 Months Work

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
  • To install power and lighting wiring in cable systems.
  • To position and fix distribution boards, fuse boxes, switches, motors, control equipment, light sockets, power points and connect to wiring.
  • To measure and cut protective channelling material and fit over installed wiring or measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit and pulls wiring through conduit.
  • To erect cable trunking systems.
  • To test for insulation and continuity.
  • To install electrical fixtures and equipment such as water heaters, under floor heating, electrical storage heating systems, time switches, illuminated signs and domestic appliances, traces faults in electrical wiring systems, fixtures and appliances and makes necessary repairs.
  • Operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manor.
  • To adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
  • To use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements

Key Requirements:
  • Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3 and site experience.
  • Valid Site Safety Passport

Must haves -
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Gold ECS Card

Desirables -
  • COMPEX 1-4 and/or 5-6
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
