EAST MEDITERRANEAN
This role is vital to the safe and effective delivery of offshore production/onshore processing of oil and gas or in ensuring that instrumentation and control systems and equipment used onshore and offshore is in a safe condition and meets safety and technical standards.
To maintain the process plant and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all statutory requirements.
Carry out planned preventative, remedial and breakdown maintenance in accordance with maintenance management system.
• Reporting to on shift Energean OIM.
• Carry out instrument maintenance activities as follows.
• Repairs, calibrates and maintains platform instrumentation systems.
• Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with SAP schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical activities.
• Repairs, calibrates and maintains platform instrumentation systems.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all site equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
• Monitors platform master charts to establish possible instrument malfunctions.
• Conducts and reviews the results of tests run in control room and ensure their reliability and accuracy.
• Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
• Carry out major services, overhauls and intrusive maintenance on site equipment.
• Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform instrumentation is conducted in accordance with Company requirements and statutory Government standards.
• Carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in SAP and any follow up work and material required is identified.
• Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.
• Ensures the required supply of spare parts are available, prepares and requisitions items required.
• Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management.
• Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Support the day-to-day running of the platform by safely performing Instrument maintenance tasks on platform utility and production equipment
• Accountable for maintaining a positive safety culture ensuring that all tasks are carried out within the law and company policies & procedures
• Participate in WG competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework
• Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
• Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
• Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace.
• Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with company HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System.
• Be familiar with and adhere to the OSM Safety Cocoon, with specific focus on the Life Saving Rules.
• Comply with all relevant OSM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate.
• Actively participate and support all company Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements.
• Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop and work sites.
Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
• Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
• Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified.
• Report all accidents and incidents.
• Carry out Emergency Response duties, as required or nominated, in accordance with client requirements.

Experience
- Experience as an Instrument Technician with large offshore fixed or floating projects involving multiple disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Systematic and analytical approach to management of change and associated procedures.
- Ability to transform problems into a solution with achievable outcome.
- Good understanding of process instrumentation.
- Good knowledge of process control systems.
- Good knowledge of fire and gas detection and ESD systems.
- Good knowledge of HART Communications Protocol.
- Good working knowledge of MOD BUS Communications.
- Clear understanding of cause-and-effect logic diagrams.
- Fully familiar with the permit to work system and isolation procedures.
