Technical Project Manager - Radio Communications (Offshore Projects) Location: Fredericia, Denmark (with travel across Europe) Contract Duration: January 2026 - December 2026 Contract Type: Consulting / Contract Start Date: January 2026 About the Role Spencer Ogden is supporting a major offshore construction programme and is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager - Radio Communications to lead the delivery of safety-critical communication systems during the construction phase of offshore assets. This role is ideal for a technically strong project manager with a solid background in radio and communication systems, who enjoys working at the interface between engineering teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring that reliable, compliant, and fully tested communication solutions are in place to support offshore construction and operational safety. Key Responsibilities • Act as Technical Project Manager for offshore communication and safety systems during the construction phase • Lead and coordinate multiple stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, and vendors • Translate complex technical solutions into clear, understandable messages for non-technical stakeholders and management • Plan, oversee, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) • Review, approve, and verify communication system performance and compliance • Ensure systems meet operational readiness, regulatory, and safety requirements • Present project status, risks, and technical solutions to senior management • Support commercial discussions with a strong understanding of cost, risk, and value • Ensure high-quality documentation, reporting, and project communication Technologies You Will Work With You will be involved in modern offshore communication and surveillance systems, including: • Satellite Communications: Starlink, Iridium • Radio Systems: TETRA, VHF (Marine & Aeronautical) • Wireless & Data Networks: LTE • Tracking & Surveillance: AIS, ADS-B Required Experience & Qualifications • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or consultant within offshore, energy, maritime, or construction environments • Strong technical knowledge of radio and communication systems • Hands-on experience with FAT and SAT planning, execution, and approval • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and confidently • Comfortable working independently in a consulting role • Fluent in English, written and spoken • Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year (approx. 3 days per month) • Commercial awareness and understanding of project cost and risk Personal Attributes • Proactive and solution-oriented • Structured, detail-focused, and reliable • Confident presenter with strong interpersonal skills • Comfortable working in high-responsibility, safety-critical environments Additional Information • Standard working hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week • Consultant must provide own PC and personal protective equipment (PPE) • Relevant offshore safety certifications (e.g. GWO) must be obtained if required
