Inspects materials and products, or components, and finished equipment for conformance to specifications using nondestructive examination methods. Reviews and develops documentation related to non-destructive examination and other quality control.
Functions:

• Conduct and document Nondestructive Testing operations
• Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures in accordance with applicable codes and customer requirements
• Administer and maintain ASNT-TC-1A Qualification of personnel
• Assure safe usage and handling of radioactive equipment and personnel
• Monitor critical equipment / instrumentation and maintain necessary NDT records to meet third party certification and/or regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action

Preferred: Professional Accreditation / Certification: RSO, ASQ CQI and/or CQT, AWS CWI preferred
As a minimum, must possess and maintain SNT-TC-1A NDE level II certification on RT, VT, MT, LP

• Advanced knowledge of quality terms, definitions, and concepts
• Understanding of types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of measurement scales
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
