Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to Handle Sales, marketing and prescription activities related to products, within the defined industry segment for PAN India. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the select market segment. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Installation Products in India. will be based at Bangalore - India.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Installation Products in India. will be based at Bangalore - India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- LPS Design & Engineering: Design and develop Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) for buildings, infrastructure, industrial, and renewable energy projects in compliance with IEC 62305 and NFC 17-102 standards.
- Risk Assessment & BOM Preparation: Perform lightning risk assessments using tools/CAD and prepare accurate Bills of Materials aligned with project designs and protection levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, project, and civil/electrical teams to integrate LPS into overall system designs and customer solutions.
- Technical Documentation & Support: Prepare detailed technical drawings, reports, and documentation, and provide technical guidance and problem-solving assistance to installation teams and system integrators.
- Customer Focus & Reporting: Understand customer needs to identify new business opportunities and provide regular performance and insight reports to management.
Qualifications for the role:
- Education & Experience: Diploma or BE in Electrical & Electronics with 5+ years of experience in lightning protection and earthing system design.
- Standards Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge of lightning protection standards IEC/IS 62305 and NFC 17-102, including their practical application in designs.
- Design & BOM Skills: Demonstrated capability in lightning protection and earthing system design, along with accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
- Risk Assessment: Practical experience with lightning risk assessment methodologies for various types of projects.
- Design Tools Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design tools for preparing layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of solar and renewable energy projects, and their specific lightning and earthing requirements.
- Earthing Systems Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of different earthing systems applicable to industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and renewable installations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Effective relationship management with sales and marketing teams, stakeholders, and customers, supported by proficient written and verbal communication skills.
