Job Description

Why This Role Matters

This role helps ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems in the STP. By supporting maintenance, inspections, and installations under proper safety standards, the role minimizes equipment downtime, prevents electrical hazards, and contributes to uninterrupted plant operations and overall system reliability.

What You'll drive

• To assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in the STP under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational reliability.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of motors, pumps, MCC panels, and lighting circuits.
• Support troubleshooting of basic electrical faults under guidance.
• Perform routine checks on switchgear, breakers, and control panels.
• Assist in motor insulation testing and brake system inspection.
• Maintain tools and ensure proper housekeeping in work areas.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety protocols strictly.
• Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
• Ability to read simple wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor and confined spaces.
• Strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 1-3 years experience in electrical maintenance (preferably in STP or industrial plants).
