Job Purpose:

Responsible for executing instrument commissioning and startup activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project standards. Supports smooth transition from construction to operations by validating instrument functionality and reliability.

Key Result Areas:
  • Perform instrument pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks as per approved procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards during all activities.
  • Coordinate with construction and operations teams for seamless handover.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve instrument-related issues during startup.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning activities.
  • Support loop checks and calibration of field instruments.
  • Assist in system integration and functional testing.
  • Report progress and highlight risks to supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.

Communications and Working Relationships:

Internal- Commissioning team, Operations, HSE, Maintenance.

External- EPC contractors, vendors, Third-party inspectors.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

Educational level: Diploma in Instrumentation or related field.

Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in instrument commissioning and startup.

Required background and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, loop checks, and calibration.

Required soft skills: Excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
