Job Summary
Eagle Ford Overview
The liquids-rich Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Coast Basin of south Texas, represents the company's second-most prolific unconventional resource development. ConocoPhillips was one of the first companies into the liquids play, resulting in a low-cost entry into this acreage. In 2009, the company began exploring the development potential of this play and by year-end 2023 held approximately 199,000 net unconventional leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes and Live Oak counties.
We hold approximately 484,000 unconventional net acres in the Eagle Ford, located in south Texas. The current focus is on full-field development, using customized well spacing and stacking patterns adapted through reservoir analysis. We operated seven rigs and two frac crews on average during 2024, resulting in 182 operated wells drilled and 154 operated wells brought online.
During 2024, net production in 2024 averaged 244 MBOED.
Position Overview
If you are selected as the Maintenance Technician, you will lead several corrective maintenance (CM) and preventative maintenance (PM) activities and be responsible for communications and support within the asset's operating areas.

If you are selected as the Maintenance Technician, you will lead several corrective maintenance (CM) and preventative maintenance (PM) activities and be responsible for communications and support within the asset's operating areas.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance program including defect elimination process
- Collaborate with key support groups and customers to ensure goal alignment with Asset & Operating Integrity (A&OI) program & Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
- Work with Maintenance Coordinator and Operations personnel in planning and developing PM procedures for various equipment
- Champion the use of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) tool, insuring that the appropriate technical resources have been assigned to address root causes
- Manage job assignments for contractors
- Maintain a close link on the planning and scheduling function driving strict discipline in observation of the various work schedules
- Work with Operations to ensure accurate prioritization of work. Managing Change/Risk assessment responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance and reliability efforts within the asset to improve equipment reliability while focusing on the management of field maintenance activities
- Lead and participate in incident investigations when needed
- Drive contractor safety through HSE Management System & Contractor management, safety orientations and management reviews with vendors
- Establish procedure and guidelines and ensure that all work activities are performed according to the established procedures, guidelines and schedules
- Identify requirements to maintain appropriate skills for company and contract personnel
- Driving continuous improvement by developing new philosophies and maintenance tactics
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Current/valid driver's license
- 1 or more years of experience in compression/rotating and gas dehydration equipment
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% on a yearly basis
- Currently reside or willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/align with following: Climb various ladders and stairs to perform maintenance on equipment, Raise and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs, Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain, Work outside in harsh weather conditions, Work alone a high percentage of the time, Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), Be on call, Work unscheduled overtime
Preferred:
- 5 or more years of experience in compression/rotating and gas dehydration equipment
- 5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience with contractor relationship management. Understands the work order management process and planning/scheduling
- Advanced technical and functional experience
- Proficient in contractor management
- Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
- Basic level of proficiency in Access
- Basic level of proficiency in SAP
- Ability to collect accurate and meaningful data and extract trends and useful information to help improve operations
- Ability to manage and empower personnel with a diverse range of skills
- Extensive digital literacy (SAP-PM, EDRS, etc.)
- Good analytical skills (RCA, MOC, trends, etc.)
- Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong leadership and promote team building in a challenging, innovative and exciting environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability as a Safety Leader at present work location
