BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 as a deep-tech company that has developed a new sustainable thermoacoustics technology to radically improve the performance of heat pumps, enabling them to evolve from being the best solution in the market to becoming the perfect solution. Our technology is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry.
With our so called 'Blue Heart' inside, heat pumps turn into affordable, silent and flexible devices, capable of working with wide temperature ranges suitable for both new and existing houses. Importantly, BlueHeart doesn't require any refrigerants and doesn't generate any CO2e emissions.
About the Role
As a R&D Electrical Technician at Blue Heart Energy, you support the Testing Team by maintaining and improving our laboratory test infrastructure. You work across several laboratories, each dedicated to testing different machines and configurations, as our heat pump system is composed of multiple components, each with its own specific test setup.
As we are in an active development phase, test benches and experimental systems are frequently modified, improved, and adapted. The Lab Technician plays a key role in assembling, repairing, and troubleshooting these systems to ensure reliable and safe operation. This role requires a strong hands-on mindset and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-changing R&D environment.
You will work with a wide range of technical systems, including plumbing and hydraulic circuits (pipes, valves, pumps, water/glycol loops, flow and pressure sensors) as well as electrical and electronic systems (PCBs, wiring, cables, connectors, and sensors).
In addition, you will contribute to the design, construction, and commissioning of new test benches, including mechanical assembly, plumbing, electronics, and sensor integration.
Testing activities involve pressurized systems, so the Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring safe laboratory operations and strictly following safety procedures and instructions. The Testing Team is at the heart of research and development and works in close collaboration with the R&D, Engineering, and Controls teams to continuously improve our testing capabilities.
