Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician Trainee supports the team in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment used in both

onshore and offshore operations. This role is designed for recent technical graduates or early-career technicians who are eager to learn, develop hands-on skills, and grow within the company. The trainee will participate in daily maintenance activities, assist with troubleshooting, and support call-outs and offshore assignments as needed, and be willing to travel offshore when required.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support daily maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment under supervision, including inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and bulk systems.
  • Participate in offshore maintenance trips.
  • Support emergency call-outs, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Assist with maintenance documentation, reporting, and adherence to the team's procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
  • Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.


Essential Requirements
  • MBO-3 / MBO-4 degree in mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, mechatronics, or similar.
  • 0-3 years of experience; candidates with more experience may be considered.
  • Hands-on, practical mindset; enjoys mechanical work and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to work offshore and travel to other locations.
  • Able to reliably commute to the Coevorden base on short notice to support urgent call-outs.
  • English and Dutch communication skills.
  • Right to work in The Netherlands.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Electromechanical background to support cross-training across mechanical and electrical tasks.
  • Experience in maintenance, offshore operations, or industrial environments.
