Notice Period: 2 months for onshore, 3 months for offshore

Overview
We are seeking a Site Lifting Specialist to oversee onshore and offshore lifting operations for a major energy infrastructure project. This is a senior technical role, responsible for safe and efficient planning, execution, and supervision of lifting activities, ensuring compliance with international standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in lifting and handling operations at a supervisory level

• Mandatory OPITO certifications:

  • LCP (LOLER Competent Person)

  • Banksman/Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4

  • Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4

  • Rigging Loft Management

  • NSL LE1-6 Lifting Equipment Inspection

• Broad knowledge of lifting appliances, rigging operations, and equipment handling

• Experience in Oil & Gas onshore and offshore operations

• Competent in roles such as Rigger, Rigger Foreman, Rigging Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor, and Lifting Superintendent

• Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environment risk assessment related to lifting operations

• Experience in supervision of critical and heavy lifts

• Training and coaching experience is preferred

• H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and adjust lifting operations to ensure safety and compliance with applicable standards

• Advise contractors on HSE requirements, accountability, and performance expectations for lifting activities

• Implement systematic processes and maintain documentation to ensure personnel competency and operational reliability

• Supervise lifting operations on site and offshore to guarantee safe and efficient execution

• Promote continuous improvement in lifting and handling practices during construction activities

• Support yard and offshore teams with operational guidance and assurance of procedural compliance

Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills in lifting and rigging operations

• In-depth technical knowledge of lifting appliances and rigging methods

• Excellent understanding of international standards such as BS and LOLER

• Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors and project teams

• Ability to make timely decisions in high-pressure construction and offshore environments
