Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician Trainee is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment according to operational demands. This role focuses on improving maintenance efficiency, reducing nonproductive time, and enhancing people productivity within the Maintenance Base (MB). The Mechanical Technician Trainee supports adherence to maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment according to the relevant maintenance program and reliability-centered maintenance strategy, ensuring compliance with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and standard work procedures.
• Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to accurately record materials, labor costs, equipment maintenance performance, work orders, parts usage, and maintenance times.
• Comply with TLM Product Line standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to enhance asset utilization and reduce Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD).
• Support efforts to reduce asset turnaround time by minimizing downtime due to maintenance, parts availability, failures, and work-in-process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
• Implement CoSD projects, such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
• Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
• Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

Qualifications & Experience

• Licence or Technician degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance, and operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in field-based operational environments.
• Motivation to learn and grow in maintenance and technical operations.
