SLB is seeking a motivated, curious, and hands-on undergraduate or master's student to join our Nisku team as a Maintenance Operations Intern. You will support initiatives ranging from failure analysis and quality checks to assisting in the development of new SLB technologies for our Artificial Lift business line. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Engineering team with daily tasks such as failure analysis, equipment assessments, troubleshooting, and basic documentation.
  • Assist with new product development activities for the Artificial Lift business line, including procurement requests and basic QC checks.
  • Participate in hands-on shop activities as needed, including inspections, testing, or evaluation of mechanical components.
  • Work closely with maintenance engineers, planners, and sourcing teams to support ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with local technical experts and broader organizational teams as required.
  • Gain hands-on training and mentorship from experienced maintenance engineers.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's (second year or higher) or master's student in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to deliver tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse groups.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship
