As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers. You will perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers. You will perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Applying safety rules and safe practices, as well as environmental responsibilities during all service activities.
- Leading Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities at customer sites and reporting unsafe practices and incidents to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identifying new service business opportunities in close cooperation with customers and ABB teams.
- Coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities and developing, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to colleagues. Acting as a trainer when needed, for both team members and customers.
Qualifications for the role
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within robotics, automation, industrial machinery, or electromechanical service environments.
- You possess enhanced knowledge of electronics, followed by strong electrical, mechanical, or programming capabilities, and can apply these in troubleshooting and system repair.
- You are passionate about problem-solving, customer communication, relationship-building, and bringing an innovative, solutions-focused mindset to complex technical challenges.
- You hold a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent proven industry experience.
- You hold all required valid driver's licenses for travel in Ontario and Western Canada.
- You maintain strong communication skills and excel at building positive customer relationships.
