Job detailsVeriflo are seeking an individual with a background in water networks to join the Commissioning Team in delivering the end-to-end commissioning works to clean water mains ranging from 80mm to 1000mm. As a key part of on site operations, the Commissioning Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of projects.

Job detailsVeriflo are seeking an individual with a background in water networks to join the Commissioning Team in delivering the end-to-end commissioning works to clean water mains ranging from 80mm to 1000mm. As a key part of on site operations, the Commissioning Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of projects.
What will you do
- Carry out pressure testing, swabbing, flushing, chlorination, de-chlorination and commissioning activities for water assets.
- Conduct pre, post and live site surveys, inspections and monitoring, including onsite briefings to ensure safe delivery of works.
- Monitor dosing equipment performance and key parameters such as flow, pressure, turbidity and chlorine levels to ensure compliance and water quality.
- Troubleshoot commissioning issues, identify root causes, escalate where necessary and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records and reports including surveys, audits, photo evidence, testing results and commissioning adjustments.
- Ensure HSE compliance and effective stakeholder communication, while supporting wider project workstreams and mentoring technicians when required.
Who you are
- Minimum 3 years' experience in water network field activities, with strong practical industry knowledge.
- Relevant industry accreditations such as EUSR Water Hygiene, EUSR SHEA Water, EUSR Hydrostatic Pressure Testing and NRSWA Operative (training provided where required).
- Competent in valve operations (including CALM Networks) and confined space entry.
- Good IT skills including GIS mapping tools, PDA/tablet use and online reporting systems.
- Able to interpret RAMS and follow HSE procedures, ensuring work is completed safely and to industry standards.
- Proactive and methodical team player who can take ownership of tasks, collaborate effectively, and work flexibly including day, night and weekend shifts when required
