NOV is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the service, maintenance, and repair of PP&C equipment across our installed customer base. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing critical oilfield equipment while supporting field operations and product deployments at NOV facilities and customer locations. The Field Service Technician will diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, conduct equipment inspections, and ensure equipment operates to full specification. This position will also support field trials of new products and provide operational feedback to engineering teams to help improve equipment performance and reliability.

JOB SUMMARY
NOV is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the service, maintenance, and repair of PP&C equipment across our installed customer base. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing critical oilfield equipment while supporting field operations and product deployments at NOV facilities and customer locations. The Field Service Technician will diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, conduct equipment inspections, and ensure equipment operates to full specification. This position will also support field trials of new products and provide operational feedback to engineering teams to help improve equipment performance and reliability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service and repair of customer property items including, but not limited to, centrifugal pumps and frac hoses as supported by the Mission Completion Products group.
- Perform service and repair at NOV locations and at customer locations as required.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the QA procedures and departmental work instructions.
- Disassemble equipment to remove parts and determine required repairs
- Examine all parts for general corrosion, defects, breakage or excessive wear whenever looking at specific reported issues on any unit.
- Diagnose cause of equipment malfunction through observations and testing based on related schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions or procedures.
- Request parts as required and install according to instructions, drawings, and work instructions or procedures.
- Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner. Prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
- Test run repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification.
- Lead new product field trials on location as the PP&C point of contact with the customer
- Troubleshoot issues with new equipment and communicate field performance feedback to the engineering teams that can be used for design changes
- Identify the barriers of adoption to new MCP technology from a customer's perspective, particularly identifying and communicating the perspectives of a customer's field personnel.
- Travel to locations on short notice to troubleshoot new equipment or be the NOV point of contact to a customer currently accruing NPT.
- Actively participate in training as identified by the Manager.
- Engage in additional job activities as requested by the Manager.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in the oilfield.
- Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, and power drills required.
- Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic applications, pressure containing equipment, and hydrostatic pressure testing equipment and processes highly desired.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and medical examinations screenings.
- Must be able to pass a 3-year driving history background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and an ability to diagnose and solve problems.
- Must possess professional, clear, verbal and written communication skills.
- Unrestricted ability to travel and work overtime during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, reach and perform repetitive motions for up to 12 hours daily.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
